Baby Urns - Memorials For Infants

By George Powell

Cremation is a very affordable alternative to traditional burial. There are many urns for ashes that are just as beautiful and magnificent as any casket you may see, and much more affordable. While traditional burial is still preferred, cremation is closing the gap, and becoming more and more chosen each year for remembering loved ones who have passed with the use of Baby Urns.

Although burial is deemed to be a respectful way to lay a dearly departed to rest, it is not without its consequences. Burial puts materials, sometimes toxic materials, into the ground that seep into the local water system and the surrounding eco-system. To pay respect to the dead while at the same preserving the environment for the living and future generations, cremation is becoming a growing practice. With cremation, there is also a growing need for human urns to store the ashes.

Don't do it in one setting. When looking at vases, you may feel the need to just "get it over with, " but doing so now will likely result in a purchase that you regret later. Instead of sitting down for one dauntingly long session, browse infant vases in smaller sets of time. This way, you can process what you see during your session over the day and night and look again the next time you sit down with a little bit more knowledge on what you want.

Get a second opinion. Following the comment not to simply buy the first of the vases that you look at, when you feel yourself starting to get dragged down and want to make a decision on the infant vases that you've seen so far, have a friend or another family member take a look at what you've chosen so far. This is to make sure they agree with your selection. It's likely that they will, but it never hurts to have a second opinion when your mind is focused on so many other aspects of your child's death.

It is never easy to plan a funeral for a loved one who has just passed on. Despite the emotional pressures, there is still the need to pick out the right cremation urn that befits the memories of the departed.

An example is the Ancient Universe Book Scattering urn, which is leather bound and edged in gold. It is the perfect selection for a soothing place of rest. Some of these beautiful vases are made especially for traveling so that you can scatter the ashes of your loved one on land or water.

The death of special people is always an emotional time. Grieving is a normal process, but through it all you want to send your loved one off with respect and love. When you or your loved one choose cremation, it is a natural way of sending their spirit off to where it originated from in the beginning.

The urn can also be inscribed with the child's name, age, date of birth, and any special message that the parents might wish to have displayed. Some of these urn manufacturers will also be able to incorporate a photo of the child into the outside of the urn, as a lasting tribute.
