Maintaining An Inground Fiberglass Pools

However, they are having a hard time choosing what material will they consider, either a vinyl, concrete or fiberglass. Fiberglass had been the favorite material for many homeowners for many years. There have been many reasons why this material has become popular with many.

A part of many possible reasons of its popularity is that, this material is low maintenance. Inground fiberglass pools are the most popular pools that you can see in most houses. Aside from the act that it is low maintenance, it is not that expensive to maintain it.

Clean up those bugs, debris and leaves that tend to frequently gather there. This is really common for those who have several mature trees around. If it is left unattended then it will really lead to an unhygienic water. A dirty one can be very unattractive. You need to have a regular cleaning schedule. You can use a skimming net and pole. You can also use a leaf vacuum.

Do not buy products for cleaning that can be very harmful. The fiberglass will be damaged and that will add up to your expenses because you will be paying for its repair. The chemical in the water may be changed due to that product. Use products that are generally made just for fiberglass cleaning. Avoid utilizing a brush that has a stiff bristles because it can cause unsuitable scratches.

Stains are caused by an excessive level of metals in the pool. A reddish to brown colored stain is an indication of a high level of iron. A bluish green one is an indication of a high level of copper. A gray one is an indication of a high level of magnesium. To get rid those unwanted stains you may use a metal chelating agent, you have to use it every two weeks.

You have to turn on the pool filter once the swimming session is done. This will help you to collect the debris that is mixed there while in use. Run the filter for about six to eight hours everyday, so it can circulate well. And it will help in keeping the chemicals balanced well.

You also have to make sure the chemicals are balanced. It is really important to every pool. You have to check it every day. The ideal pH level should always fall around seven point two to seven point six. It alkalinity should be in the range around one hundred to one hundred fifty parts per million. And its chlorine level at three point zero per million.

The pool is unlikely to be used in a particular time. That is why you need to purchase a cover that will be used to cover it whether it is not being used. It will maintain the cleanliness and it will keep the right temperature of the water.

As an owner of one, it is your responsibility to keep it clean and welcoming. It is a part of your home, that is why and you should give importance to it. At the end of the day, you will be the one that will use and benefit it.
