How To Prepare For Or Prevent A Miscarriage

By Amanda Adams

Accidents and unlooked for events often happen without rhyme or reason, something anyone will not wish on themselves. These could be known as tragic but natural occurrences, acts of God which are not expected or prepared for at all. Females are prone to these rare events that are connected to bearing children.

There is usually one reason for such an event, when a chance chromosome defect develops in the growing embryo. The miscarriage cannot be anything that anyone wants to happen but it sometimes does despite the safety measures that have been carried out. Some other reasons for it are falls or movement that injures the fetus, or chemical factors for the environment or used by the woman.

This is the exact opposite of a planned stoppage of the gestation period or abortion, when a mother or any authority decides that the baby should not be brought to term. For the accidental event, there are always circumstances that were unthought of. It is more tragic when doctors or the hospital is not able to stop it from happening or unable to save the baby from death.

Some early signs and symptoms should be monitored, so whenever they are seen earliest, a chance is there for saving an embryo from certain death. Under unplanned circumstances, a female is never to blame, unless she has been exposed to risk factors. The reasons for it occurring is never a matter of little things like moderate exercise sets, coffee in the morning, or even making love during the gestation period.

Some things can be done by the mother that can cause the risk factor to go very high up. Either it is a habit or an environmental factor that she is constantly exposed to. These are the excessive exposure to tobacco smoke, constant alcohol intake and the taking of drugs.

There are also some inadvertent risk factors that can harm a baby without his or her mother knowing it. These can be things like trauma incurred during a car crash, or the presence of Listeria, a bacteria sometimes found in raw eggs, unpasteurized dairy products and undercooked meat.

The health of a mother is always something that should be seen to. Some chemical stuff need to be maintained at fairly high levels during pregnancy and failure to do this will cause the sudden stoppage of a pregnancy. It is also possible with mothers who are over 40, and medical conditions like extreme cases of diabetes.

The occurrence of warning signs that means the unwanted demise of the baby inside a mother must be looked out for. When they do occur, there should be an instant check up. Leave nothing to chance for signs like back pain, extreme cramps, constant spotting, when normal pregnancy issues are not occurring like nausea or vomiting, and the ejection of fleshy objects by the mother.

Being in consultation with a good obstetrician or gynecologist is a must. They should be the most important monitors for health issues for the mother as well give advice on how to avoid other factors. A pregnant woman can also undergo a series of programs that are good for safe pregnancies and preventive methods that apply.
